Swimming up the sound stream, beats and frequecies bubble to the surface. Gameboy by a gamegirl. Bubblyfish performs experimental electronic music on a laptop computer, Gameboy, and other electronic gear, lo-fi and 8-bit technologies.

Performed in a double bill evening with Joe Reinsel.


With a background in classical piano, Haeyoung Kim explores the texture of sounds in electronic music. Currently, under the name bubblyfish, she has been creating 8-bit and experimental sound works. Based in NYC, Haeyoung has worked as a sound designer,audio engineer, and interactive artist. Haeyoung’s work has been presented in various museums, clubs, festivals, and galleries including The American Museum of the Moving Image, PS1, Mutek, File Festival, Lincoln Center Walter Reed theater, and Kunsthalle Wien. –Bio as of 2019
