Internationally-renowned contemporary dance company Gallim Dance joins Roulette Kids on March 16, 2013 from 1 – 3 PM to lead a Creative Movement Workshop for Children. We invite your child to experience Gallim’s one-of-a-kind technique, movement vocabulary, and the vibrant creative voice of our 30-year-old Artistic Director, Andrea Miller. Led by Company Member Caroline Fermin, this workshop will ignite the imagination through improvisational movement games. Children will run, jump, and shake to wildly fun music selections. Class will develop body awareness and fine motor skills, build self-confidence, and encourage students to think creatively.

Gallim Dance’s studio is Roulette Kids’ newest neighbor. Located in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn the studio is now open to the public! The critics praise Gallim’s “delicious strangeness, fierce aggression, and raw beauty,” and Gallim Dance was honored for movement innovation at a 2012 TEDx conference in New York. We offer a range of weekly classes, workshops and intensives, and strive to be a center of creative activity for all experience levels, from beginners to professional dancers. Gallim Dance’s movement training is uniquely directed towards those longing for a deeper connection with their inner strength, individual voice, and freedom within their artistic process. Our studio is located in the 19th-century Church of St. Luke and St. Matthew. This historic landmark is a riot of materials, colors, textures and shapes, and features magnificent windows designed by Tiffany Studios.
