Zosha Warpeha presents new material as part of her Roulette Residency.

*FREE FOR ALL ROULETTE MEMBERS *

Zosha Warpeha is a composer-performer working at the intersection of contemporary improvisation and folk traditions. Combining textural bowed strings and voice, her durational performances are guided by focused listening, cyclical repetition, and spatial acoustics. Resonance is a defining aspect of her practice, as embodied by her use of Hardanger d’amore, an instrument with five bowed and five sympathetic strings closely related to the traditional Hardanger fiddle of Norway. Warpeha was a 2025 AIR at ISSUE Project Room and has been featured as a solo artist at Cafe OTO, Lampo, Frequency Festival, KM28, KRAAK Festival, Artacts Festival, and more. Her work has also been supported by the US-Norway Fulbright Foundation, Jerome Foundation, and the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

This performance was developed as part of Zosha Warpeha’s Roulette 2027 Residency, made possible with funds provided by the Jerome Foundation. This performance is presented through Roulette’s GENERATE program, providing over 20 artists each year with in-depth creative and technical support.
