BYC’s youngest singers will perform folk songs from Israel and South Africa, classics by Telemann and Schubert, and songs that will have you dancing in your seats!

This performance includes Preparatory Monday & Annex (4:00pm), and Junior Division Wednesday choristers only.  NOTE: Balcony seating is not handicap accessible. Online sales for this event have ended. The on-site box office will be open 45 minutes before the start of the performance

Soundscapes, Brooklyn Youth Chorus’ annual concert dedicated to contemporary works, showcases the best new music written for this versatile ensemble and features popular fellow Brooklynite Julianna Barwick, who, like the Chorus, is widely acclaimed for exploring fresh new directions in singing. Julianna joins the Chorus in performing selections from her recent album Nepenthe. Soundscapes will also includes works by Bryce Dessner, from the recent album Aheym, Nico Muhly, Missy Mazzoli and Pulitzer Prize-winner Caroline Shaw.
