Holy Days Brooklyn – 92nd Street Y

Saturday, September 14, 201310:00 am

92Y’s alternative “downtown” High Holiday services with Rabbi Dan Ain and The Sway Machinery’s Jeremiah Lockwood move to Brooklyn this year.

Alongside Rabbi Dan’s Torah teaching and preaching (on how we observe our world and how the world observes us), singer/guitarist Lockwood leads worship that is part old-world Ashkenazi High Holy Day wailing and part Delta Blues.

This year, they’ll be joined on keyboard and accordion by Shoko Nagai (Songs of Zebulon) and the explosive drummer John Bollinger (Barbez) with additional special guests TBA.

All are welcome this Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur as we take some chances – religiously and musically – in a gorgeous new space.

Service times:

Rosh Hashanah: 10 am – 12:30 pm
Kol Nidre: 7 – 9 pm
Yom Kippur: 10 am – 12:30 pm
