Jade Guterman is a composer and musician who releases music under the name Jadelain, creating her recordings with MIDI instruments from the notation software Guitar Pro. The flattened soundworld inherent to this software enables her to weave together ideas from disparate music scenes and traditions. Favoring an alien-like magical realism in her work, she arranges unlikely notations, like a timpani pitch bent with a tremolo arm. As an instrumentalist, she trained as a double bassist and now focuses on steel-string acoustic guitar. She collaborates & performs with acts like Iceblink, Jana Horn, more eaze, Pink Must, and Adelyn Strei.
