Jerome Kitzke/The Mad Coyote

Saturday, April 13, 1996. 9:00 pm

Band of Coyotes will play an evening of Kitzke’s compositions and composer directed improvisations. Included will be excerpts from the compelling spectacle The Paha Sapa Give Back. Special guests include accordionist extraordinaire Guy Klucevsek playing Breath and Bone, Lisa Karrer acting out Keening Wish, and Katheleen Supove romping through The Animist Child (along with? Eileen Mack, David Friedman, Michael Lowenstern, Barbara Merjan, Bradley Lubman, others).

Kitzke, as much a storyteller as a composer, received a B.F.A. from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, and moved to New York City in 1984. In 1992 Kitzke formed his performing group Mad Coyote. His music has also been performed by the Milwaukee Symphony, the New Juilliard Ensemble, Essential Music, Present Music, Earplay, Zeitgeist, Guy Klucevsek, Margaret Leng Tan, ETHEL and Kathleen Supové.
