Joanna Mattrey: Arrhythmia

Friday, March 10, 20238:00 pm
World Premiere

For her second performance as a Roulette Resident, Joanna Mattrey joins forces with celebrated experimental musicians Patrick Shiroishi, Chris Williams, and gabby fluke-mogul to premiere Mattrey’s newest composition, Arrhythmia, which explores unconventional grooves, sound sources, and prepared textures, building on the groups chemistry as improvisors.

The quartet is a group based on kinship, joy, and a love of improvisation. Each of the group members has various projects and shared creative works and experiences with each other, which culminates in a deep musical and communicative understanding.

A livestream will be available free of charge at 8pm on the day of the performance and archived for future viewing. Watch below or on YouTube.
