A night of solo piano premieres and encores by Ms. Supové, Masatora Goya, Mari Kimura, Randall Woolf, and Jerome Kitzke, plus stunning graphic scores, including excerpts from Cornelius Cardew‘s Treatise.

In May, 2012, Kathleen Supové received the John Cage Award from ASCAP for “the artistry and passion with which she performs, commissions, records, and champions the music of our time.” 
Supové annually presents a series of solo concerts entitled THE EXPLODING PIANO. She has commissioned, performed and recorded music by a Who’s Who of composers. In addition to humans, she has performed with Yamaha Disklaviers, laptop orchestras, robots, and XReality. Recent and upcoming projects include solo works about Migration, Women Warriors, and Last Words/Objects; Shocking Red, duo with Michelle Shocked; Killdeer and Guy & Doll with Guy Barash; and a violin-piano duo with Jennifer Choi. She has also received composer commissions from NYSCA, Brooklyn Arts Council, Bargemusic, and the Illustrated Man Project.
