TILT Brass presents TILT 10: An Anniversary CelebrationThursday, June 27, 2013 @ 8:00 pm
TILT Brass turned 10 in January 2013! To celebrate, they are presenting TILT 10, a month-long festival of performances featuring a cadre of brand new commission works and other premieres by a diverse roster local and international composers. Tonight’s program at Roulette presents an exciting set local and world premieres (Enno Poppe, Mario Diaz de Leon, Lainie Fefferman, Andrew Hamilton, Filippo Perocco, Chris McIntyre), works dedicated “To TILT” from its first 10 years (Anthony Coleman, Dave Ballou), and an open form gem from the early 70’s (Jon Gibson). This performance presents the culmination of a 2-week workshop residency at Baryshnikov Arts Center.
Other events during TILT 10 include the premiere of Nate Wooley’s complete Seven Storey Mountain at ISSUE Project Room, and the presentation of a new site-specific work by TILT Director Chris McIntyre during the annual Make Music New York summer solstice event (June 21st).
