Christoph Gallio (soprano & alto saxophone), Dominique Girod (double bass) and Dieter Ulrich (drums) are the Swiss trio, Day & Taxi. This free improvising band ventures into Swing and tuneful constructions with the ease of an all-terrain Mercedes. In Cadence, Milo Fine observed that the group “strikes an admirable unselfconscious balance between the cerebral and the visceral, the direct and the oblique.”
