A triple bill of Orange Milk label head/electronic musician/visual artist Seth Graham in duo with More Eaze, multimedia artist Shawné Michaelain Holloway, and vocalist/performer Charmaine Lee.

Seth Graham is a Ohio based visual artist, composer and co-owner of Orange Milk Records with an academic background in Philosophy. He focuses on compositions which highlight tropes across a broad range of musical genres using midi data, Max MSP and samples. His intention is to manifest intersections of classical avant garde and modern popular music with compositions ranging from playful sample arrangements to dense digital synthesis. Seth Graham’s work has been published by music imprints Orange Milk, Noumenal Loom, We Time Audio etc He was commissioned by the Russian Ensemble Kymatic to write 4 pieces in tribute to Philip Glass that were performed during 2017 at the Museum of Media and Arts in Moscow a long side Sean McCann and Sarah Davachi. He also performs with More Eaze as a duo under the name —__–____. He has been written about in Rolling Stone, NPR, Tiny Mix Tapes, Impose, FACT, Pitchfork, Art Forum. He is also a visual artist who has done work for Body Meat, Knockdowncenter, Pitchfork, Claire Rousay, etc.
more eaze is the project of composer/multi-instrumentalist mari maurice. her work touches upon myriad genres and often explores themes of gender, intimacy, identity, perception, and the mundane. resident advisor categorizes maurice’s work as “accomplished ambient pop” and the quietus has said that her work “unearths a raw poignancy in what can often be a coldly academic field.” her music has been widely released on a number of international labels including orange milk, mondoj astral spirits, phinery, and lillerne tapes among others. as a performer, maurice regularly collaborates with artists such as claire rousay, nick zanca, amulets, seth graham, dntel, christina carter, and more. she also has contributed mixes for a number of radio stations and podcasts including nts, dublab, noods, kxlu, and hoc.
Shawné Michaelain Holloway is a new media artist and poet. Known for using sound, video, and performance, HOLLOWAY shapes the rhetorics of technology and sexuality into tools for exposing structures of power. She has spoken and exhibited work internationally in spaces like Performance Space New York, The New Museum, The Kitchen, The Time-Based Art Festival at the Portland Institute for Contemporary Art, Institute of Contemporary Arts (London), and the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. SHAWNÉ has previously taught in the Film, Video, New Media, and Animation department at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Charmaine Lee (b. 1991) is a New York-based vocalist from Sydney, Australia. Her music is predominantly improvised, favoring a uniquely personal approach to vocal expression concerned with spontaneity, playfulness, and risk-taking. Beyond extended vocal technique, Lee uses amplification, feedback, and microphones to augment and distort the voice. Lee has performed with leading improvisers id m theft able, Sam Pluta, Tyshawn Sorey, Nate Wooley, and C. Spencer Yeh, and maintains ongoing collaborations with Ikue Mori, Conrad Tao, and Eric Wubbels. She has performed at the Lincoln Center, the Kitchen, and MoMA and participated in festivals including Resonant Bodies and Huddersfield Contemporary. Lee has been featured in group exhibitions including The Moon Represents My Heart: Music, Memory and Belonging at the Museum of Chinese in America (2019). As a composer, Lee has been commissioned by HBO Max, International Contemporary Ensemble, the Wet Ink Ensemble, and Spektral Quartet. She has lectured at institutions including Princeton University, Harvard University, Columbia University, Stanford University, and The New School. Lee was an Artist-in-Residence at ISSUE Project Room (2019) and Van Lier Fellow at Roulette (2021). She currently serves on the Board of ISSUE Project Room and on the Editorial Board of Sound American.
