Roulette’s Archive Launch + Artist Celebration

Tuesday, February 12, 20197:00 pm

Roulette pays tribute to our past, our present, and our future with the launch of the Roulette Archive. Celebrating the thousands of artists who have performed at Roulette over the last 40 years, the evening will also honor future artists to be added to this historic platform with recognition of Roulette’s 2019 commissions, residencies, and fellowship artists.

7–9pm at Roulette
Performance by Ashcan Orchestra
Light Fare and Drinks
FREE – RSVP!

Our 2019 Awarded Artists include an innovative cohort of creators: Jaime Branch, Shayna Dulberger, Nick Dunston, Maria Grand, Val Jeanty, Travis Laplante, Cecilia Lopez, Anaïs Maviel, Mary Prescott, Joel M. Ross, Anjna Swaminathan, and Alex Weiser. These artists represent the next extension of Roulette’s 40-year legacy supporting, documenting, and presenting the live work of artists to audiences here in New York—and now, thanks to the Roulette Archive, worldwide.

Our archive represents two years of research, planning, and design, featuring over 4,000 concerts dating back to our first performance in 1978. Today, this includes hundreds of audio and video recordings, photos, notes, programs, posters, and ephemera collected, restored, and preserved, with thousands of more items to come. The Roulette Archive is available to all for free, online at roulette.org/archive.
