Composer/guitarist and humble-seeker-after-truth Licht recruits the Sap Dream Electric Guitar Quartet on for the special arrangements of two pieces he originally composed for solo guitar, Betty Ford and Dreaky Friday. Plus a premiere of a new audio/video piece, Columbia Picture Presents, which stretches the openings of 1970 film Loving and the Who’s Baba O-Riley to their respective limits. The Guitar Quartet -Bryce Dessner, Dan Lippel, David Nadal, and Rami Vamos-scavenges a variety of techniques, musical styles and sounds to arrive at a new form of electric guitar chamber music. Classically trained but electronically bent, the quartet’s mission us to embrace both the obvious and not-so- obvious sonic possibilities of the electronic guitar.
