Mixology 1994: AMEN./Istvan Kantor

Saturday, May 7, 19949:00 pm

STROKE – a sonic convulsive din-row-commotion of off theory noizak-serenades. AMEN. (Puppet Government) employs mechanical devices with intense physical strength, crush-vocal megaphony (the trumpet of doom), amplified filing cabinets, blades, metal, radio-drone and synchronized video images. But according to AMEN., descriptions of upcoming concerts are basically “useless” since spontaneous images, last minute decisions, constant change, instincts, inner energy and urgency are the basic elements of STROKE.

Adventures in Structured Noise from the Generator, curated by Ken Montgomery. Each performance will be preceded by an installation from “The 88 Game” – a computer assisted piano concert by Berlin composer Conrad SCHNITZLER.

Istvan Kantor (aka “Monty Cantsin”, and “Amen!”) (born 1949, Hungary) is a Canadian performance and video artist, industrial music and electropop singer, and one of the early members of Neoism.

Editor’s Note: This performance appears not to have been recorded.
