The vocalist and inventor of tongues juggles octaves and roles in two contrasting duos with Ikue Mori and Tom Cora. Vibraslaps incorporates Mori’s warm-blooded drum machines and vivid stereography with Jauniaux charging up the middle. With Cora’s multi-effected cello the result is both serenade and mutually benevolent violation. Jauniaux, a New Yorker transplanted from Belgium, has worked with musicians including Fred Frith, Heiner Gobbels, The Inuit Singer, The Work, and Aksak Madoul.
