New York premieres of five words highlighted by Loudspeakers (for Morton Feldman) featuring the voice of the late composer, plus Vers Les Anges for sirens, cuckoo clock, and birdcalls; A Berkelium Cannon built from Nicolas Slonimsky’s Minitudes; Bajanoomm using gongs from the collection of Lou Harrison; and Walkng Tune (A Room Music for Percy Grainger) with Australian sounds. Amirkhanian is a composer, percussionist, sound poet, and radio producer. He is widely known for his work at KPFA/Berkeley radio, San Francisco’s Exploratorium, and Telluride’s Composer-To-Composer Festival. His work is released on 1750 Arch, CRI, Giorno Poetry Systems, and other labels worldwide.
