Living Things is the collaborative work of Stephe Cooper, Peter Hanson, & Sam Sowydra and is based in Brooklyn and Albany, NY. Focusing on incorporating puppetry, costumes, theatricality, and general silliness into the environment of “experimental music,” Living Things have toured the east coast twice in the last year performing in theaters, lofts, houses, galleries, firehouses, churches and garages. Previous performances have featured everything from instrument beasts, transgender voice therapy, wind-up toy-orchestra, contrabassnake clarinet, and feedback puppies, to compositions for motorized wind instruments, woodwinds, euphonium, percussion, feedback, guitar, and mangled jazz played by robed wizards.
