In this debut performance of Song of Praise Zamir turns to Jewish sources as musical inspiration utilizing Psalms and original texts. Zamir (sax and voice) is joined by pianist Yonatan Avishai on piano in a rare appearance here. The two began their collaboration years ago in Israel and can be heard together on three Tzadik releases by their band, Satlah. Breathtaking, soulful, complex and soaring.
