Geoff Matters is a musician, artist, and technologist residing in New York City. Since creating the open-source software GDAM in the late 90’s, he has been at the cutting edge of computer interfaces for live media performance. As a founder of Share open media jam and forum, he has spent a decade observing and fostering creative technology performance locally and internationally. As the force behind the A/V band Lance Blisters, he crafts protest music for the 21st century.
In “Mic Check” Geoff Matters, punk singer and former choirboy, attempts to come to terms with the sound of his own voice by exploring and building on his personal history of vocal expression. Commissioned by Roulette with funds provided by the Jerome Foundation.
