Famed Argentine dancer/choreographer Guillermina Quiroga, one of the world’s leading tango dancers, was described in the New York Times as “a beautiful dancer…elegant, dignified, commanding”; her extensive credits include the mythical Tango Argentino and Forever Tango on Broadway, several films including Valentina’s Tango, and choreography for the 1998 Olympic ice dancing gold medalists. She has influenced the role of women in tango, and trained many of the world’s best tango dancers. She is joined by her longtime partner, Mariano Logiudice, who has taught and performed with her at numerous tango festivals around the world. Music is provided by the Latin Grammy award-winning Pedro Giraudo Tango Quartet (bass, violin, bandoneon, piano), one of the most compelling tango ensembles performing today. Composed of prominent musicians, this virtuoso ensemble brings to life the passion and beauty of the tango repertoire.
