New Jazz Septet led by the alto sax player/composer/improviser. He became interested in jazz while at the University of Wisconsin–Madison where he was a student of Cecil Taylor’s. After that he moved to New York City where he founded “Ensemble Muntu” with William Parker, Roy Campbell, Jr., and Rashid Bakr.
