Nancy Garcia is a Brooklyn-based choreographer/composer/artist whose work and practice utilizes various media, including dance, performance, printmaking, sound, drawing and video. Over the past decade, her work has been shown throughout the US, Japan and the UK, including The Kitchen, Whitney Museum of American Art, Greene Naftali gallery, Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami, D’Amelio Terras gallery, Issue Project Room, LMAK Projects, Tracy Williams gallery, Tonic and New Langton Arts, among others. She has also performed at festivals like All Tomorrow’s Parties (UK), No Fun Fest, and SXSW. Having spent years touring and recording with Monotract, alongside Carlos Giffoni and Roger Rimada as well as working with the Laundry Room Squelchers and performing alongside Arthur Doyle back in the Cooler days of NYC, her most recent album “Be the Climb” on the label Ecstatic Peace records shows a culmination of process, noise, melodies, and songs.
