Raz Mesinai is a composer and producer. He has released over a dozen solo recordings under his own name as well as under the pseudo name “Badawi”, an avant Dub music project that has earned him a following around the world in the underground electronic music scene for over a decade. Mesinai’s unique music combines highly inventive studio techniques, dub, improvisation, and modern composition into a seemless mold. In 2008 Mesinai’s piece “Crossfader” was commissioned by the Kronos Quartet and his piece for solo cello and live processing was commissioned by Maya Beiser. Both premiered in 2008 at Carnegie’s Zankel Hall.

This evening Mesinai will be presenting two new exciting compositions for performers and live processing.
