Resurrections for Goat Skins explores Mesinai’s lifelong fascination and experimentation with goat-skinned percussion instruments such as the Celtic Bohrahn, the Persian Zarb, the Daf and many others. He focuses on the goat and its role as a sacred symbol of sacrifice, possession, and protection over thousands of years. Commissioned by Roulette with funds from the Jerome Foundation.
