A day-long celebration of play as culture, presented by Kill Screen Media Inc.

An extension of Kill Screen’s editorial mission to “show the world why games matter”, Twofivesix is a day of dialogues bringing games into conversation with other aspects of culture.
Each dialogue pairs a member of the gaming community with someone of equal stature from an outside discipline. Architects with level designers. Screenwriters with game storytellers. Behavioral psychologists with community managers.
The results are often unexpected and always inspiring. Practitioners, digital makers, marketers, designers, students, and game fans of all stripes will come away with a new vision of what games can do for their work and their lives.
Speakers this year include Alexis Ohanian (Co-Founder, Reddit), Zach and Tarn Adams (creators, Dwarf Fortress), Catherine Burns (Artistic Director, NPR’s The Moth), Jennifer Hale (Lead Voice Actress, Mass Effect), and Kevin Slavin (Founder, MIT Playful Systems Group), among many others.
