Working with transcendent states of meditative consciousness achieved through the five senses, artist, composer, and filmmaker Zeljko McMullen returns to Roulette to present eight hours of three-minute etudes strung together to form an emotional and psychic journey lasting the course of a typical work day, amount of leisure time, or hopeful sleep schedule—accompanied by a visual din of animated abstract sigil paintings.
McMullen has been living mostly off grid for the past 5 years, electricity included, but hiking all water and food up a mountain and investigating alternative modes of consciousness. This performance showcases the body of work he created during this time.
