Ursula Scherrer & Michael Schumacher

This collaborative duo creates images and sounds that interact in random ways that seem intentional. By saturating the visual and sonic spaces, they allow correspondences between events to form of themselves, and larger formal shapes to emerge like a connect-the-dots graphic. Schumacher is a composer with a special interest in computer/electronic sound installations. Scherrer is a dancer turned photographer and video artist. Together, in 1996 they found Studio Five Beekman, an important and unduplicated multimedia art gallery focused on multi-channel installations, www.diapasongallery.org
