DanceRoulette gathers the intriguing artists in experimental and emerging new practices in dance and choreography for a week-long performance series. A new solo work that transposes ideas of collecting, sorting, and arranging to a body of movement ideas to a new sound design by Jason Finkelman.

A series of vignettes exploring alter egos and other fantasies.

Two things occupying the same space at the same time.

Renée Archibald is a dancer and choreographer. She has performed internationality and shown her work throughout the US. She earned a BFA from University of North Carolina School of the Arts and an MFA from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Archibald is an Assistant Professor and the Director of Dance at Whitman College in Washington state.

Heather Lang  studied at Ruth Page School and Hubbard Street Dance before earning her  B.F.A in dance from NYU’sTisch School of the Arts. Her theatre credits include roles in SpiderMan: Turn Off The Dark, Radio City Rockettes (NYC), Nights On Broadway II, Spaghetti Ballet/Elliot Feld (Joyce), Happy We’ll Be, Moments Defined, Cabaret; and appearances in I am Legend, Smurfs, Across the Universe, The Great Observer, Movement One (films); “Smash,” “Rescue Me,” “Gossip Girl,” “VH1 Fashion Rocks,”“MTV: Wannabe” (television). Lang and her cohort Eleanor Bauer created The Heather Lang Show By Eleanor Bauer and Vice Versus, which is touring in Europe and throughout New York. In January 2013, the full length show was performed at the People’s Improv Theatre and the Creek and the Cave.

Andrew Schneider is a performer and interactive-electronics artist based in Brooklyn. In addition to creating and performing his own solo performance works, Schneider is a Wooster Group company member (video/performer), and builds interactive electronic art works and installations. Currently, Andrew is in residency at Abron’s Art Center in NYC developing YOUARENOTHERE, which will premiere in January 2015 as part of PS122’s COIL festival. He has taught courses on Technology and Performance at the Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU, and at Bowdoin and Carleton Colleges. Schneider plays with the band AVAN LAVA.
