Jade Guterman is a composer and musician who releases music under the name Jadelain, creating her recordings with MIDI instruments from the notation software Guitar Pro. The flattened soundworld inherent to this software enables her to weave together ideas from disparate music scenes and traditions. Favoring an alien-like magical realism in her work, she arranges unlikely notations, like a timpani pitch bent with a tremolo arm. As an instrumentalist, she trained as a double bassist and now focuses on steel-string acoustic guitar. She collaborates & performs with acts like Iceblink, Jana Horn, more eaze, and Pink Must. Jade performs at Roulette on Wednesday, April 22 in our forthcoming Spring Season.
Emilio Modeste is a saxophonist and composer from New York City. Best known for his tenure with the late great Wallace Roney, he now leads INSTANT ALTER and tours with Stanley Clarke, Kassa Overall, and Julius Rodriguez. Equally adept on tenor and soprano, Modeste’s singular tone and storytelling creates a gravitational field that pulls in even the most reluctant of listeners. This can be heard on INSTANT ALTER’s eponymous debut album, Dezron Douglas’ Atalaya, and additionally on Stanley Clarke’s upcoming album. A student of the legendary drummer and producer Lenny White, Modeste also explores endless musical styles in his artistry. Emilio performs at Roulette Tuesday, February 17 in our current Winter Season.
Dreamcrusher is a non-binary queer New York City-based musician/artist. Since 2003, their work has been at once personal and abstract, revealing and antagonistic; performances and recordings shift between genres while subjecting the characteristic elements—melodies, beats, vocals, instrumentation—to distortion until the point of transformation. Continually maintaining its musical visceral physical nature while simultaneously being nostalgic, otherworldly and revelatory. Dreamcrusher has released dozens of recordings with labels such as PTP, Fire Talk, and Corpus, as well as on Bandcamp and other online platforms. Dreamcrusher is also a member of the duo Centennial Gardens with King Vision Ultra. Dreamcrusher performs at Roulette on Thursday, April 9 in our forthcoming Spring Season.

Selwa Abd is a Moroccan-born interdisciplinary artist and composer based in New York City, working under the alias Bergsonist.
Her multidisciplinary practice critically examines the evolving relationship between technology, identity, and virtual realities, drawing from the complexities of post-colonial urban environments. Through electroacoustic performances, she crafts intuitive terrains for exploration, informed by minimalism, musique concrète and experimental traditions. Frequently incorporating video art into her live sets, she builds immersive, speculative worlds shaped by contemporary socio-political landscapes.
Arone Dyer does a lot of things that don’t fit in tidy boxes. She has produced sound as a vocalist, musician, composer & as a founding member of the uncategorical duo Buke and Gase since 2007, which has toured around the globe multiple times. Outside of Buke and Gase, she’s founded the roving, ever-evolving, non-static Dronechoir, which continues to be performed across the US and in Europe.
